Hey! this is my first post, have looked everywhere but kinda don't know how to KEYWORD my search for the answer to my question. Im win7/linux user trying out windows 10 since the new ltsc release seems promising. Ill try formulating what im asking to the best of my ability QUESTION: when i open say 'systemsettings.exe' aka win10 control panel, i then close it 'x' button, looking into task manager it is still open just 'suspended'. any reg changes or grouppolicy tricks to change that behavior? ALSO: seems like doing about anything will run 'runtimebroker.exe' 4+ of those processes in the task manager, but why aren't they closing themselves automatically>? all i want is so they close themselves properly instead of idling forever I want them to automatically case and close like on win7 and not just stay there in the background for no reason
Disable "Background apps" and, if necessary, "App extensions aliases" from settings and they will not run no more in background. Also disable these apps autostart which you don't need.
alright that did the trick for SystemSettings.exe C:\Windows\ImmersiveControlPanel i have the system in vm not even connected to internet yet so its all good thanks for fast reply! do you know any trick to do similar with runtimebroker.exe ? i dont mind it running, but usually its sitting at 3or4+ proceses. i would like it to run when it needs to but self shut instead of idling forever.
