    Hey,

I'm little bit confused regarding windows 10 activation.

    1) I dont have genuine 8.1 if I activated windows 8.1 with Windows Loader. Will I be able to get win 10 for free? Will I get the update downloaded automatically with get windows 10 tray icon or I should download windows 10 and format the system? (For Genuine Windows)

    2) I have installed windows 10 and while checking settings saw there is a option under update settings regarding windows insider and it was asking for login when I click on that.If I join windows insider will I get windows 10 for free now or it was only for people who joined that program before release of windows 10

Windows loader doesn't work with win 8 0r 8.1, you must use KMS. You should be able to join, and you don't get free windows, you get to lease it until you decide you don't want them seeing your moments and collecting data, and opt out.

You could have just upgraded with win 10 pro, and put in the enterprise key when upgrading, it then updates to enterprise and you can act with KMS.

#1. No Loader for Win 8/8.1, only KMS, To use Loader install Windows 7 Pro, than upgrade online from within that (only once neeeded).

#2. No Free Windows 10 for Insiders actually, only as long as you stay insider, if quitting you must do the Upgrade.

So for a genuine windows 10 version I need to install windows 7 and activate it with loader and then use free upgrade with in 1 year right? Other then that I need to use KMS to activate windows 10 or buy Windows 10 Home/Pro by paying 124.70$/233.84$

It is always better to do a clean install. U can format HDD an make clean installation now, ones u get activated, informations of pevious activation are stored at MS.
I did the same with no probs.

You cannot upgrade to 10 with a newly installed OS 7 - 8 - 8.1 on your pc.

Of course you can. Many have installed Windows 7 SP1 fresh, just to upgrade to Windows 10.

u do not need to know any product key. Now, at the process of clean installation of Win10 u can skip typing product key. It is already stored at MS.

To format: insert your installation medium of Win10, start with installation, choose custom installation and delete the main partition. The new partition
will be automatically formated. Then continue with installation.

To upgrade an OS, must have an earlier installation (normal in use date) and has to be periodically, fully updated.
Never install 7 today and try to upgrade. You will end up with no OS in your machine,at list activated one.

After getting it activated...Did you get a original key or something that starts with Y___.

I have checked with Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder to check the key and came to know that code is all over the net and being used to activate win 10 from few days......

    :REFRAIN

THERE IS NO KEY NEEDED AT ALL! The Hardware ID (HWID) acts as unique key for this Upgrade. IF ASKED FOR A KEY; SKIP OR DELAY!! .

    IF NOT "%ERRORLEVEL%"=="BINGO!!!" GOTO :REFRAIN

Yeah I can confirm this. SP1 for Win7 is essential for the Win10 upgrade.

    Just a note.

If you clean install again, you don't format from NTFS to NTFS to clean a Hard Drive. This misconception has been left over from the day's when drives were not all NTFS, and Microsoft has left format so that formats can be changed, IE- fat32 to NTFS.

I know it takes a long time to ZERO ( wipe ) a HDD, but it's the correct way and cleans the drive the best way it can be cleaned.

If you have a SSD, you should secure erase the drive and don't format it when installing, there's no reason to use format on a SSD unless you wnat to change a format.

If you have a UEFI, which is the new BIOS, two different monsters. You should install the OS in UEFI which will use the GPT and not MBR boot sector.

But, Daz loader will not work with GPT, so you can only install a enterprise version in UEFI and use KMS.

If you would like to know more or don't get anything I posted just ask, as everyone here is more than happy to help and very nice.
