Thank you for answer, but it's not usefull :(
    In DOS:
Phoenix Phlash16 Utility Version 1.4 Build 59a: "Unable to open bios.ROM"
Phoenix Phlash16 Utility Ver. 1.7.0.0 (Phlash161700): "Platform signature Not found in the interface"
PhoenixPhlash Utility 4.0 Release 1.57: "File open failed on platform.bin"

    Any another solutions? :)

I think, the best way is flash with standard WinPhlasher from driver package, but we need to know parametr/key for this flasher to interrupt/prevent matching procedure.

And? I am trying to flash an VGN-AR250G with a moded bios that is same as the version as the current one, and get the nagging message that its the same version. Did you figure how to force the older winplasher to go and flash it anyway?

    No, I'm not.
I'll try to disassemble this winphlasher...

    Yea! I did it!
But with a very long and hard way.
I used debugger IDA Pro, and standard winphlasher from standard package. With debugger I found analysing f-ware procedure, and has bypassed it by zeroflag substitution.
If you want my help, I can get you. Just post your f-ware+phlasher from sony site.
    Sorry for my English :)

Sorry, I can't unpack this .exe file, because of version of my system.
Pls unpack it yourself, then send me winphlash.exe, compressed with RAR or ZIP.

On my VAIO VGN-S2XRP this patched tool didn't work. :(
It says that new BIOS is flashed successfully, but don't really flash anything; the window appears directly after "Analyze old and new BIOS compatibility" stage.
    Can anyone help me?
