Step 1: Modify EditionID value Enterprise to Professional, or import pro.reg Before (ent.reg) Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion] "EditionID"="Enterprise" After (pro.reg) Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion] "EditionID"="Professional" Step 2: Run Windows 8.1 Pro to upgrade
already done, but nothing... i have already tried to change reg keys and install with win8.1 pro dvd but i have not the possibility to upgrade my system, only clean install and i'll lost my settings and software
that screen does not appear to me, it goes directly to installation of os could you help me solve this problem ?
This does not sound right... No matter what, it should prompt the menu. How did you run the setup? On top of Enterprise? Or DVD/USB boot?
You run DVD\setup.exe on Enterprise? Normally the windows_8.1_with_update ISO should be Multiple-editions, i.e. Windows 8.1 Pro and Windows 8.1.
