If bleeding edge software is more to your liking, you can always upgrade to Debian Sid. In which case, you're already using Alpha 2 and perhaps newer. I thought debian warned against making frankedeb , I have tried Sid before but it totally broke my system, I think that was down to my hardware configuration as linux doesnt play well with nvidia unfortunately. Looking foward to deb 10 though.
I have been using Debian Sid for over 2 years with a Nvidia card without issue. I actually find it more stable than Debian Testing. I suspect it is because Sid is usually the untouched packages by developers before the added tweaks or customization is added by Debian, themselves.
