KDE RC has been approved... takes usually a day or two for the ISO's to be sent to repo's... BTW: Regarding StarkMenu not working with Cinnamon 2.4, a good alternative is Configurable Menu (available from applets repo.) - it has a bunch of menu themes and other config. options.
Is coming! Only still be KDE 4.14 ... More stable... KDE 5.1 in future versions ... Note: Neither the Fedora 21 adopted kde 5 plasma.
Sweet! ... Nvidia has always been a 'problem child' - Nice tip. BTW... the new desktop backgrounds are cool (especially compared to the horrible stuff Windows 10 has)
Scrolling between tabs dont lag anymore. I also noticed that when i create a file and rename it the last number does show now (like it supposed to do). I always had this Miche when i actually typed Michel (last number was gone unless i pressed enter). Menu's runs much faster now, unbelievable what nvidia can f**k up ... i almost gave up on linux because i tought the lags and slow downs were related to linux bugs. Tried many debian based distro's and all had the same (except with elemanatary os). Only thing i hope now is that the system does not freeze anymore, maybe it was always related to that gpu clock speed in mint 17
Is there a SVF patch available for linux mint 17 (cinnamon) x64 to 17.1 (cinnamon) x64? I am a noob in this aspect, so kindly spare me the harsh words if this sounds stupid.
Looks like NVIDIA has fixed this issue, I talked alot with a person on the nvidia live chat and decribed the problem as clear as possible. It looks like they have fixed this issue in their newest driver (NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-346.35), will try it when i reinstall a new linux distro •Added the ability to increase the operating voltage on certain GeForce GPUs in the GeForce GTX 400 series and later. Voltage adjustments are done at the user's own risk. See the documentation on the "CoolBits" X configuration option in the README for details.
Using Cinnamon is fun... some quirks, I cant get VPN (pptp) working from the gnome-panel.. It keeps on asking for 'Import File' for some reason. Previous versions worked

All ubuntu based distro's have issues, they should fix those problems first. The most annoying issue is the random screen freezing. No matter if you have AMD or NVIDIA it just happens. With arch linux and manjaro i never had 1 single freeze.
