I am going to be installing Win. 7 Ultimate 64 bit and would like to install first, onto USB stick and then proceed to install on my PC. If the OS' already bootable ISO, I wouldn't need to prepare an ISO but will need additional tool that in accordance to a tutorial, can be downloaded at Microsoft and is for preparing the USB. Is that right? I've never used torrent, do'ya think it's necessary for downloading the Win 7? Thanks if anyone has any input. leis
The Microsoft tool will easily transfer the ISO to USB and make it bootable. I have used it See the sticky above for a torrent link to the ISOs or search for the post 'Everything MSDN has to offer for Windows 7' (can't post links) for a link to a Google drive. Always use the checksums to make sure the ISO hasn't been altered
Thanks for the helpful recommends and since I've not used torrent maybe I could start to with this installation. Also check sums will be readily avail when it's the appropriate time to use or check them(?).
Thanks for your links and the Rufus tool so far is fine! It was quick to prepare the USB. I'm thinking if the download straight to the USB is what I can do, and so I'm looking at info. on that process and either way I wanted to have a copy or leave it (win. 7 download) as the master or orig. 'install' of windows 7 as I didn't have a copy of current running and have need for repair for Components was found missing and couldn't be repaired. So, this is a good start on my behalf.
