Download Win8.1 (GA Edition) With Win8 Key

I'm doing it now and at 8%. It actually was a little simpler for me. After starting the Windows 8.1 downloader I got a message that the Windows 8 download didn't finish. I exited the downloader and started it again. This time it didn't ask me for a key, it just started downloading 8.1.

I should add this; my Windows 8 key was one of those upgrade keys that Microsoft sold a year ago for $15.99. It was accepted by the Windows 8 downloader.

Another add: I initiated this download from Windows 8 Pro 64 MSDN so I assume the download will be Windows 8.1 Pro 64 too. Since I am now in an airplane flying to Puerto Vallarta for a week, I won't get to try the install until I get back home. Adios Todas!

 

Well I have also download Win 8.1 Pro 64bit from Microsoft but when I try applying GA Updates it says updates already installed.It asks at the end to either create a Usb Installer or Iso .The Iso I created was of 3.06 GB

 

Nice trick to cheat the MS system Atleast this will satisfy the people those who are looking for 8.1 ISOs Will this trick work for Enterprise or Pro VL? I guess not

 

@ FaiKee M$ didn't change the setup.exe but the install.esd is the latest with ga updates included

Exactly now we have Install.esd but how to convert it to install .wim to make a pre activated Wmc copy using my backed up 8.1 Activation data
It seems Phone Activation hack has stopped working

 

Since Enterprise and Pro VL editions are exempted from GA update, it won't work

MSDNAA has a hard time not boasting about his "account" with MS to get things he feels shouldn't be shared.
Funny though

 

does not work for me my legit key fails every time but if i use another key i get that you are not connected bs.

 

i tested about 10 times since yesterday and works each and everytime with different legit windows 8 keys

 

All I'm getting is the infamous, "We Cant Connect Right Now, try checking your internet connection."

 

yeah but its not accepting my legit key but when i add the ones from RTM it says key is ok but wont connect to download.

 

same as i keep getting.

 

But what version is finally discharged? VL or RETAIL ... I'm confused.

 

Don't expect VL only retail ISO.
