    I am wanting to put Win 7 on my wifes laptop, and I searched and found that someone had already had the bios moded for the laptop she has, but it doesnt tell me which cert to use. How exactly do I find out???? Her laptop model number is Toshiba m115 s3094. Here is the link that was posted about the moded bios, but no cert was mentioned. http://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/97168?highlight=toshiba+m115-s3094#post97168

    I have one other question, and this pertains to my main pc that I am using now which has Win 7 on it with a modded bios. I am using the (old) lenovo key, and I see there is a (new) one posted. Should I put the new key in there so that I wont get deactivated?????

    Thanks guys

    Well, there actually is 4 different cert's, and they all say 2.1 slic. lol What are the differences between those 4? Am I limited to one specific one? Should I just have someone mod me a bios again for the laptop and use the cert they say to use?

    Also, what about my second question I had posted? :)

    #1. Just install one certificate and see if it works.
    If not try the next and so on.
    At most you're looking at 4 Reboots to figure that out.
    Or just PM the modder and ask him.

    #2. I wouldn't bother, but you certainly can it's easy enough to do.

    You know what. I cant even figure out how to flash the BIOS on this laptop. Do you guys have any advice? It seems like the bios you download from toshibas website is executable, and the moded one isnt. So, how do I flash the bios?

    The modded bios link you posted used TOSINV00 2.1 slic, so use TOSINV cert for activation.

    Loading the modded rom into AndyP's "Phoenix SLIC Mod Tool v1.00" confirmed.

    I have to admit, I am happy that someone figured that out for me. But, I am having a lot of trouble on how to flash this computer bios. I have done several computers, but have never had one where there seems to be no utility to do it with. Does anyone know how to flash a toshiba m115 s3094 laptop??? I would really appreciate the help.

    Oh, and does the name of the bios file matter? its named biosmod.rom. So, Im not sure if it will cause a problem with the original name of the bios.

    Thanks again guys

    @fbodlovr ...

    Busykid508 posted a thread about Phoenix Bios modding, that also has links to the flash tools you may need for your Toshiba mod.

    http://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/13358

    The original exe from Toshiba will contain several copies of the rom file, and another exe file that contains an .ima file which will also have a copy of the rom file and MSDOS files contained within it. The utility would offer various ways to install, from Windows Gui, from Floppy, CDRom ... that's why different copies of rom contained within package.
