When attempting install (64 bit)display is very distorded, installation always fails, even if at end of install the monitor will go black and displays message 'dvi monitor cannot be displayed in this mode. Install reverts back to original if attempting upgrade. The original leaked file had this same effect on my computer.., i.e. distorted graphic and install fail. WDP and subsequent trial releases all loaded fine. These first official RTM & MSDN releases are back to the same status as failing install.

I think I could install these official releases if I could figure how to replace the nvidia drivers within the iso file. I have searched for info on this but so far .. no luck.

    Any help?

304.79 works fine for me too.

Try running setup as admin, and disable antivirus/firewall while installing drivers.

To run as admin requires I be attempting an 'Upgrade'.. from which there is never a prompt to install drivers. However, when running an 'Upgrade', the display is fine until the PC reboots into Win 8 and then it fails, the graphics are distorted as can be seen in the pic, and will in short time refuse to display at all, followed by message the install has failed and the computer will be returned to original OS

When attempting fresh install I made it to options for drive selection and driver installation (although grahics are very distorted, see pic) and even though I can opt to install the drivers from the 304.79 package, it fails as can also be seen in the pic. I accessed the drivers from 2 sources with the same result. Proceeding with the install results in failure after the 87% completed display and resets to original OS.. Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

    Stuck.
