The device are the Sony WF-1000XM3 ear buds. The Bluetooth icon in the taskbar shows that the device is recognized, but will not connect without der correct driver

The Device Manager tells me at "Bluetooth", that the drivers for "Generic Bluetooth Radio" and "Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator" are up to date.
In "Other devices" the yellow exclamation mark appears on instances of "Bluetooth peripheral device, SM Bus Controller, and PCI Simple Communications Controller".

As Windows update on this Win7ulti is disabled with "StopWinUpdates v2.5", I tried to find those drivers manually on the internet, but none of the goggled links offers what I need.
Intel driver support software shows no driver problems... and their "Chipset INF Utility" is only for Win10

Where do I look for those drivers?

    Thanks

The earbuds, most likely and according the the support page at sony electronics, don't have drivers. the bt device in windows has, so what is the bt device name and modelnr?

Check the device hardware id's (from the ones with the exclamation mark), and google them to find the drivers.

    Thank you...

    As BT device, I find BT 21.40.5 64 Win7.exe

The Device Hardware (6 items), they appear when I add the USB dongle (which starts blinking blue immediately) all show no further identification than "Bluetooth Peripheral Device". And googling drivers for that, always advises to use WinUpdate

(Btw, the buds work and connect perfectly with the tablets and the phone,)

This is how hardwareids look like in devicemanager:
    Code:
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0162&SUBSYS_01621849&REV_09
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0162&SUBSYS_01621849
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0162&CC_030000
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0162&CC_0300

Can't be new to you, i assume?

So, what does "Bluetooth peripheral device" show in the hardwareid section?

What is the chipset and mainboard model (if oem brand system, what is the name and model)?

That is the problem, I cannot find anything there, except "unknown device". You are talking in the input/output section? There is no BT listed

The motherboard is an ASRock B 85 m, according to speccy the chipset is haswell for the i5 4570
