Drivers Windows 10 - clean install

    I´m wondering if Microsoft will provide drivers for all hardware.

    I checked Inspiron 15 (N5010) on Dell´s Site, they do not provide drivers for W10, and I doubt the will.

    If you do an upgrade Microsoft will probably make the drivers work in compatible mode automatically or they won´t :g:

    But if you do a clean install (as everybody always should do) you really should make sure that drivers are available.

    I have dell Inspiron 15R 7520 me too. I have talk with Dell he keep me informed about that.

    Drivers for Windows 8.1 works on Windows 10.

    After installing Windows 10, you can check windows update for driver latest version.

    I am sure Dell will provide drivers for anything made in the last three years if they are necessary. Lenovo dumped hundreds on Win 10 drivers on their site on the 17th, right after this build was released. Dell may just be getting them ready.

    I doubt MS has the resources to provide drivers for ALL HARDWARE. That is very unreasonable to request from MS! I think it is the responsibility for hardware vendors to provide drivers.

    usually I do export drivers from windows8/8.1 using dism:

    Code:
    mkdir D:\Drivers\Win8x64
DISM.exe /Image:X:\ /Export-Driver /Destination:D:\Drivers\Win8x64
    while /Image:X:\ (windows8/8.1 volume) can be replaced even with the /online switch.
    then I let windows 10 search just for the few missing drivers.
