I am wondering if it is possible, I just want to try the new build without ruining the xp which is the working laptop. I done before with vista but I am not sure if it work with windows 7. Any guide. Thank you.
It will work extactly the same way. You can install Windows 7 on another partition, and use its boot loader to load either XP or 7. The problem you may have is the normal one. If you remove Windows 7 later, you'll have to reinstall the XP bootloader. I've got XP, Vista, Ubuntu and Windows 7 all loading and work fine on my Netbook.
Code: The problem you may have is the normal one. If you remove Windows 7 later, you'll have to reinstall the XP bootloader. Yep, that is the part I worried about. I am sure that Windows 7 won't be permanent. Previously for Vista, I used a program, I forgot the name though, which will do that automatically. I found that program together with a guide about dual boot vista. Guidance on that would be nice
