Similar to my other thread of SUMo : https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/sumo-software-update-monitor.77167/
Is it possible to add firmware ( or atleast version numbers and possible updates ) of various components to dumo like bios, ssd, hdd, thunderbolt, management engine, optical drives, gpu, etc
The free version only shows the drivers required to update. The updates themselves must be done manually. That's exactly the same as SUMo, which will only show outdated programs in the free version. As I explicitly do NOT want it to auto-update anything (due to false positives), the free version is all I need.
better to know what is possible than not know as hardware driver sites are garbage for the most part, even for business support so I want control of what could be available and then i decide to look for them and try
One small tip - update your driver only when it's clear that you're having trouble with your existing one. For drivers the rule that a driver with a newer date is better does not apply. The rule is that the best is what works without problems.
I have licensed SUMo, it does not Auto-Update anything other than itself, which I prefer... I was on the fence for more than a year using the Free SUMo but eventually purchased a License (Lifetime)... I'm glad I did and I have SUMo installed on all my PC's...
not free, at least not anymore than any other useless stuff that show old drivers to get it to do something you need to pay and also click a lot of "buy this, buy that, you need pro, you need" - uninstalled in 5 minutes
