Hi, Whenever I try to activate 7850 my DVD drive icon vanishes from Explorer and Device Manager. I've tried janek2012's activator 093 and 094, both get me activated but the DVD drive disappears. I've tried a clean install and then running a KMS crack but that doesn't activate Win8, and again the DVD drive is removed from Explorer and Device Manager. The DVD drive is shown in the BIOS at all times and I've tried another DVD drive. Same result - as soon as I try and activate the drive disappears from Windows. Anyone else seen this ?? Thanks.
I'm not at my 8 box right now. but can you set 8 to show empty drives like you can in 7? If so does that have any effect? I don't recall any drives winking-out after I activated 8. Now that I think of it I burned a DVD after I activated. Hmmm, dunno ...
Yes, the setting is the same as in Win7. I've tried it but it has no effect. It's really puzzling me.
