    What application s/w to be used in reading chm & exe extension ebook files on desktop PC ?

    Regarding CHM (compiled HTML format) you don't really need any additional software. Windows 98 and onwards offer build-in support for opening such files.

    As for .exe ebook files - I haven't come across any of those - so I can't comment :confused:

    You mention that you need to read Chinese files - do you have any particular issue with font/encoding - or you just mentioning?

    Ive seen 1 exe ebook, it was a pdf contained in an exe file so no software was needed to view it, scan them with your av first though.
