Does anyone have a registry edit that will change the Start Page, and the Default Search engine to Google in the Edge Browser?
How is that relevant to the question? OP: You don't even get to set the home page through group policy unless the machine is domain-joined... good luck.
Changing it manually to something unique and then searching the registry for it would probably point to the correct keys if they exist. May be stored in XML in ProgramData though.
Because Googling revealed all answers seem to indicate that it can't be done via registry. The OP didn't mention if he knew how to do it via the GUI, hence the YouTube vid.
I want to set them from an installation script so they can be preset when I install Windows 10 on a PC.
From what I have discovered they are encrypted values that are machine specific and cannot be written into another machine's registry without Edge throwing a corrupted data error.
