lol how is this another reason not to install win 10 did you even read the article? "The vulnerability affects all version of Windows, including the newer Windows 10, and can be exploited via the Internet, something researchers thought as impossible."
This is one of those things you wonder how it didn't became *publically* known a lot earlier.... hmmm
Well, kind of yes, they mentioned Edge before it was renamed to Edge allthough this quoted statement invalidates itselve: To report the the first attack against Windows 10 before it was released or even on the last builds is in my opinion klick bait. One other Quote So it took 6 people whole 9 (in words N I N E) months to produce this whole giant 10 page white paper thingy to get more clicks. To mention heavyly Windows 10, then named Spartan and Microsoft to describe a somewhat normal (not unique way) man in the middle attack which could affect almost all programms which somehow accepts internet connections, is how today "security resurge" is done.
I dual boot Win10/Ubuntu. I switch to Win only when I am forced to use MS Office or Adobe product/maybe some other professional software that only has a Win version. I spend most of time on Ubuntu.
