I pin Edge to the taskbar. On all of my older Windows 10 installs I get the InPrivate option when right clicking Edge in the task bar. On all of my new installs (starting from an image with all updates integrated) InPrivate is only available from the three dots menu. Since my old installs retain the old functionality, even when completely up to date, I'm assuming that this change is just a setting. Does anyone know how to add the InPrivate option to Edge's context menu options?
I don't know the answer to your question, because it's always there anyway. Do you have a newer version? I have 19045.2913 and Edge is 113.0.1774.35 Spoiler: screenshots
The version is unimportant, my systems updated to the latest versions of Edge and Windows don't have this issue. Only fresh installs made very recently from UUP are having this issue. I am seeing this on 3 different fresh installs.
@nosirrahx Then it is difficult to guess what exactly is causing this problem. The only guess is that something is wrong with that installation media, maybe something missing there.
Edge otherwise functions and updates normally so this really feels like a setting that changed. I'm out of the country and my OneXPlayer 2 and GPD WIN max 2 that both had fresh Windows 10 installs before I left both have this issue. I built these images individually so this can't be broken media unless 2 images randomly broke in the same specific way. I'll dig into this more when I get home.
