Hello everyone, Having regard to the temperature problem that plagues NVidea gpu on laptop Asus G1S I was wondering if you can change the bios to increase the action the fan. thanks to all
Actually, you don't need to mod your bios for that The first thing I would do: clean out the vents! The next: Check if the nvidia driver is actually downclocking when the GFX is idle. [This can be checked with GpuZ - The GPU clock should drop to 100MHz or so] (The same is true for the CPU, when it idles the clock should decrese to 800MHz] and finally: The DSDT has ACPI handlers: - The automatic QMOD - [Used by Asus QFAN / - The fan speed is in _TZ.RFAN]] - manually through _SB.PCI0.SBRG.EC0.WFOV [FAN MODE] _SB.PCI0.SBRG.EC0.SFNV [FAN SPEED]
thanks for the answer, The notebook has just been adjusted so it is clean .. asus G1S does not have the function QFAN... the thing that interests me is to enable the fan more often as I can do?
