    Heyho,

I'm confused about different information for these editions.
What exactly mean the letters? Please links to MS-Sites.

And where i can download the isos?
    Can't find anywhere...

    N and KN editions:

The features in the N and KN Editions are the same as their equivalent full versions, but do not include Windows Media Player or other Windows Media-related technologies, such as Windows Media Center and Windows DVD Maker. The cost of the N and KN Editions are the same as the full versions, as the Media Feature Pack for Windows 7 N or Windows 7 KN can be downloaded without charge from Microsoft.

Good luck finding them, MS is on the hunt.

just to add to BlackWidow's post.

N is made for the EU market and does not include Windows Media Player.
K is made for the Korean Market and does not have Windows Media Player or an Instant Messenger but has links to get Media player etc.

E was made for the EU market, but never released AFAIK. It has no internet browser at all.

For first, thank you much both.
Have you may also some sources of it?

So, no chance for download E Edition?
    At least WZOR-Releases or anything?

I'm very interest in what for packages exactly removed, so I can do it safely by myself for my customs.
When i just remove the full components, I get much compatible problems with different apps.

@BrokenZer0: That's because some Apps rely on ActiveX components that are included with or part of Internet Explorer, et.al.

Removing them usually breaks functionality somewhere, so care has to be taken.

This is also true of the MSVC runtimes. Sometimes, you remove it and an app that relies on it fails.

E editions fail if IE is required. You even need to switch Windows Update -> Microsoft Update with a script.

WU itself is possible, just switching to MU (Updates for more MS programs, not only Windows) cannot be done the normal way since the agreement/EULA is displayed in, right, IE. And as it uses ActiveX another browser doesn't work. So you need to do the switch using Powershell.

Internal MS links to MS sites fail as well until you install a browser. Downloading a browser without IE is not easy unless you know FTP.

Edit: Another thing, E editions are abandoned so there doesn't exist any official E ISO with SP1 included. To be exact, actually there's no official E ISO at all, as it was never released, only leaked.

I know this post is kinda old, but could I by chance could get the svf files required to make the "E" editions for OEM? I would be very grateful!

Would also love if @EFA11 could post links to the needed "svf" files. (Oem / Retail / Volume).

You're amazing! Thank you for responding so fast. I've also looking for the org. untouched ISO images for Win7 ultimate x64/x86 you referenced in your instruction post above. I've found a few on other sites, but not matching SHA1. Could I by chance get a link for the files with matching SHA1?
