Eee 1001HA - Enable SLIC in bios?

    Hi,
    I have an Eee 1001HA. Some versions of this and similar models (eg 1005HA, which shares the same bios) come with Windows 7 Starter, meaning it has a SLIC 2.1 in the bios.
    Mine came with XP despite it being the same model.

    Is there any way to enable this SLIC somehow? I've heard of this being done with other brands.
