EEprom bios needed for Asus X42F

    i need Bios for Asus x42f Laptop
    i download from internet
    and i need program the Bios Chip By programmer Because The laptop Is dead
    bios chip WINBOND W25X32 so (4 megabyte) But the file Size From Asus Support (2 megabyte)

    so how i Fix This Problem ????


    is there any program to extract file from Asus file or this file just for update i can't used ????

    (edit post name in advanced edit..) EEprom bios needed for Asus X42F
    u have to make backup.bin of your chip then compare download with hex editor like HxD.. merge then flash.
    post and i can help.
    why like this ? because it has propietary info to laptop.. DMI


    have u tried Ctrl Alt Home key combo to restore bios ?

    i erase the chip so i can't reading chipo_O

    not good.. u do need a full dump from a similar board.. sometimes in russia forums u get lucky

    i found file for Asus k42f not x42f i think similar file so i will try it
    if file work very good i will put the file to shear it because many people search for this file:)

    it should be same. i have a K54c aka X54c .. so it likely will work
