Being a huge Elder Scrolls fan, and very excited about the upcoming game release, I decided to replay through Oblivion until November. However, when i began to install my game, there was an error with installshield, which i will paste below. If anyone could provide insight about solving this problem, it would be much appreciated. Using Windows 7.

Thanks for the reply. I thought that i had tried the renaming method, but it turns out that I was renaming the wrong folder... lol. In any case, it's working now :). As a side question, is it normal to have 5 different installshield folders?

unverified fact found on another forum:
some instalshield folders might store informations about how to uninstall programs installed with instalshield, so if you delete them it might prevent you from uninstalling some programs.

so I guess you shoudn't delete them.

And I guess they had a good reason to make 5 different folders (which we don't care to know) or they are retarded and think it's funny to make multiple folders for no reason.
