Hi ! I installed W 10 over W 8.1 by update (french as only language). Everything just fine with the exception of cortana which I can't find anywhere let alone the fact that the magnifying glass in the taskbar doesn't any search window. Would you pls help ?
No idea... probably one of many problems of W10TP. BTW: What about rather to say "stupid Cortana" instead? ) Does anybody found, what is that forgery of Apple good for? I mean on the PC which has Google access already...
I remember reading somewhere that to get Cortana working in any of the new regions (UK for me) the original install had to be in that language. So I had to get the en-GB version of the ISO and do a clean install to get it working right, because my original install was en_US which wouldn't work for the UK after the upgrade. Hope that makes sense.
thank you, install has been made in my native language i.e. french, I finally made it work by putting updates on the fast lane, rebooted and it works now ! when I say work, that means that moron app only "understands" words I pronounce with an english accent
LOL, sorry to hear that. It kinda the same here, shes a lot better on WP8.1 than on Windows 10 Hopefully she'll learn to speak and understand French better in the next few months.
Ha Ha... Great minds think alike. That's my Windows 10 Lockscreen. I had a mate called Dave, who had an Apple Mac and added the HAL voice pack to it. It was kinda creepy hearing his Mac say 'Hello Dave' when it started
