Enable Brightness adjustments on a Desktop ?

    Hello guys,

    As title says, why not try to registry hack our windows 8 to simply adjust brightness using alt+I instead of using 3rd app or on-screen button. It would be handy :)

    Any thoughts ?

    I'm not sure it would be that simple, since brightness control in notebooks and external monitors are done through different means (ACPI vs DDC).

    I know 3rd apps work differently as they work as a service over the desktop just a normal app while that feature is embedded to the windows, i hope some developer look on it.
