    the registry shows:

    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Protogon]
    "DisplayName"=""
    "ErrorControl"=dword:00000001
    "Group"="Boot File System"
    "Start"=dword:00000003
    "Type"=dword:00000002
    start 3 means manual start, let's launch it with the kernel:

    "Start"=dword:00000000

    0 means: Loaded by kernel loader. Components of the driver stack for the boot (startup) volume must be loaded by the kernel loader.

    updated: does not change anything, format failure again.

    Could someone enable protogon?

    Enabling this service give me BSOD. No idea how to fix this.

    There's nothing to fix - the proper system drivers and the files necessary for Windows 8 to make use of Protogon are not in build 8102 aka the Developer Preview. Stop wasting your time trying to make it work since it's not going to happen.
