Let me prepare a TP-N20 marker for you. If possible, can you copy the NVS folder from the RAM drive and share it here?
Yes, it's a CUI SFX RAR archive. But I asked him to verify that whether Lenovo modifies anything at runtime, which I can't detect on a non-Lenovo PC.
OK. I'll be quiet now I presume @MK_1981 would duplicate the ramdrive folder on his USB stick, then boot into Windows to post a copy.
Ok here is the FUNC folder 7zip-d. edit: it was copied from usb stick when booted into win. I presume that's what you need, or do you need a copy of the files while booted from usb stick in "DOS" because something is changed temporarily at that point?
Aah, the 8.3 naming issue slipped my mind. Yes, you can rename it something shorter (e.g. n20.bin) and adjust the command accordingly.
I believe @MK_1981 mentioned running 7 Pro. So kms activation is an option. Probably the safest approach without a slic mod.
Indeed, that's another viable alternative. With that said, I moved the discussion to this standalone thread specifically to turn on the SLIC table on the X280 (and similar models). IIRC, we have yet to come across a proper confirmation regarding the same from any user, which means it will serve others in the future as well.
@Tito, this means I should proceed with KMS and SLIC is not possible for the time being? Can you tell me, using KMS is safe, doesn't change system files in some way and I can disable/uninstall in the future if needed? Thank you for all your help.
@MK_1981 Yes, you should be able to utilize KMS, but the lack of a marker might create some issues in this path as well. Can you kindly post a full MGADIAG report? === If you use this solution for KMS emulation or similar projects from here, then it is completely safe. No scope of system file modification, and the whole thing can be easily purged from your system if you like.
