    It is a little tricky. I will explain. Load the system hive of windows 8 enterprise trial (c:\windows\system 32\config\system) from another computer that has access to windows 8 directory using registry editor. go to key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WLMS

    EDIT REG DWORD "START" and change the value from 00000002 to 00000004

    this will prevent the hourly shutdown

    Your reg tweak will maybe prevent the hourly shutdown, but still be a TRAIL version.

    Just activate against a KMS server and move on.

    Nice try, but you cannot activate Eval version aginst KMS with success :D.
