Previously I created a thread with the same problem of not able to install windows 10 on my laptop.
Now the same problem happens to me when I am trying to upgrade my system. After the initial windows setup process it takes a restart and then it stuck at the windows logo for more than half an hour. Then I have to restart my laptop and there I got this error

"0xC1900101 - 0x20017 The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation".

I tried clean installation using bootable usb but again it get stuck at the window logo.

Please someone kindly help me to solve the problem.

Let me guess, you have a system with the G3258 processor? Cause that is the hell I found myself in thanks to a microcode update Intel supplied Microsoft with. If you have an ASRock motherboard they just put out some BIOS updates today to get around this. Otherwise the only solution for the time being is to go into your BIOS and run on 1 core only.
