just received a message of "recovery, it looks like windows did not load correctly. See advanced repair options or restart my pc" Has anyone dealt or seen this before? if so, what do i do plz? it's on win 8.1 thx
While start the computer open the Advanced Startup. If you already in Windows 8.1, hold down the Shift key and chose to restart Windows which should start Windows directly in the Advanced Startup Settings. Or you could use to open the Charm bar and: Tap or click on Settings. Tap or click on Change PC settings at the bottom of the charms bar. Choose Update and recovery from the list of options on the left of the PC settings window. Note: Prior to Windows 8.1, choose General instead and then skip to Step 6. Choose Recovery. Locate Advanced startup, at the bottom of the list of options on your right. Tap or click on Restart now. Wait through the Please wait message until Advanced Startup Options opens.
ok, i shut off my pc for a minute and by pushing the botton (hard shut down) turned it back on returned to my desktop without issue. Someone suggested I use Registry First Aid. Is anyone familar with it? Should I even need to do it?
if its a one time thing, no need worry. if it continues you might have some issues with drivers or something along that line (would be my first thought) you did just install win8.1 after setting your AHCI in bios yeah?
Guys, I just got this error again " just received a message of "recovery, it looks like windows did not load correctly. Question: how old is the computer and/or the HDD? Don't know in which country you're living but: what's about the stability of the electricity? I ask that because in Thailand we do have a lot problems with electricity, is very unstable and cause quite a bit problems. There's a possibility that your HDD contains "Soft-Error's". You could check that by downloading the trial if HDD Regenerator, install and create an bootable CD/USB Stick for to run it from. Boot from that and run the chevck. That Trial will only solve 1 error but it would give you the idea what happen. Note: That apps will NOT affect any of your data, programs etc.! It's really worth to do that!
