    Damaged Windows files or settings or faulty installation of Windows. Does not have any other option. Repair current installation or reinstall.

    right, maybe O&O ShutUp10 causes this as it wasn't updated after the Redstone update?

    Copy paste this into ADMIN Cmd Prompt
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth



    If it completes successfully then it must be some tweak you did that caused this, it must not be important if it passes sfc and DISM

    It does not tell you anything, if you have the settings changed or corrupted. It checks only important files, even not all files. For example, if You have installed some updates after installing the Windows, then these update files will be not checked.

    Does the message appear before or after the UAC prompt? Do you have UAC on?

    It never gave a UAC prompt even in the past when it worked but UAC is always on

    • It does not work, at least not with this latest version. It failures after 20% or something similar, or You'll get answer that this version not found.
    • Make a clean installation and forget the chemistry, what You have. It takes a lot less time than the so moaning and dirge.
