I recently did an new install of Windows XP pro Sp3 on an older computer for my wife to use for little things like word processing and playing some of her fav web based games. However much to my dismay Windows does not have the driver for the Ethernet device on her computer... it is not a separate card it is the build in one. Problem.... this computer is completely blank... nothing to give me an idea of where to go to get the drivers for it..... anyone at all help me find out what drivers I need to get this up and running online. In device manager it sees the Ethernet device but says no drivers.
#1-Vist the mainboard makers site and search for you model downloads. #2-Open device manager>network adapters and see if an adapter name is there #3-look on the mainboard for a chip from known network adapter makers
