Hi, what's the most secure external HDD, does any main vendor's latest HDD's protect firmware with signed encrypted key?awesome if a malware has root access/ admin privilege, can it try to attack firmware?
also are HDD's formatted with GPT or MBR? Is there any way to lock, prevent disk sector from modification?

Well if you want to protect the hardware aspect... do not drop it on the floor?
Dunno about the firmware side of it, I suppose a good antivirus should help?
As far as the file system, wait until it's done writing before you disconnect it?
Wait for someone more knowledgeable than me on those points
