Hi I have Optiplex 7010 and the bios chip is bad. What I want to do is: download the bios from Dell website and extract the bios, then use the programmer to program to the new chip. the problem are: I can not extract bios, not even with dos command "-writehdrfile, -writeromfile or -writebinfile" does any one know how to extract this type of bios? here is bios link: dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails/Product/optiplex-7010?driverId=535DK&fileId=3292971997 thank you.
even if chip is bad.. u can try to make a backup.bin from programmer... then u have something to compare to.

@sebus i'm tested again and extract bios file to .hdr but the .hdr is 13MB ?? and bios file is 8MB !!
