Hi, I want to mod my ideapad s10-2 bios to accept other cards than on the whitelist. I found this in some other thread: this seems to be a translation from chinese, but I'll try to wrap my head around it However, I can only find ezh20 2.1.0.4, and that one crashes when opening the .ROM file, there seems to be a version 2.1.0.13 and I'm looking for it... can someone help maybe? Edit: is ezh2o only available in chinese?
I'm also interested it how to remove whitelist...I can do at some Lenovo Phoenix bioses already. The instructions above seem to me insufficient, or is there a patch tool? Step 6 and 7 are strangely translated. Or is it simply to delete 11D378C2-B472-412F-AD87-1BE4CD8B33A6 ? Btw: Andy's Phoenix tool can completely decompose EFI...you'll find the modules at the dump folder. If you have any news please post them here...
that line looks to me like there is some way to patch integrated in ezh2o. Can't tell yet since I couldn't open my .ROM file with the old version, I will test this evening. However, probably I can't tell which menuoption/button is "patch", since the program is in chinese (at least the old version was). Maybe someone here can translate the ezh2o options?
I have tried it. It seems you just have to delete the module 11D378C2-B472-412F-AD87-1BE4CD8B33A6 using EzH20 Open KIUN0115.ROM with EzH20. Components--->Module--->delete existing module. Search for 11D378C2-B472-412F-AD87-1BE4CD8B33A6, choose it and press patch button. Save the bios. Also prepare the original bios named KIUN0.BIN on a USB flash drive in case of recovery.
Also tried it now... no problems so far, but I can't check if it really works, got no other Mini-PCIe card... did you try that Yen?
I sucessfully re-translated the ezh2o from chinese to english. The .exe could be open by Visual Studio 2011. Kind regards Sonite
