    Hello

just wondering wheter the value for "Factory installed OS" is hardcoded into the BIOS? If yes, would it be possible to change it with not too much effort?
I am speaking of an Insyde BIOS in particular.

Dont know, seems easy, but we need the exact string hp will use for win7

And, i think that could be on eeprom, not bios.

There is some hp eeprom editor....

But, how do we know what string will hp use? Or there is win7 string already in some bios?

Cause maybe they could use... "win 7" "windows 7" "windows seven" ....

no clue, i dont think the string has anything to do with oem activation but when the vendors start shipping windows 7 then we can always change the value

i only changed it because..oh well i thought it would look cool..lol
