fan speed with windows 8

    i just cant understand why when i am using windows 8 my computer fan will make alot of noise when doin a simple task such as browsing the web using google chrome, and when i usually use windows 7 the only time my fan would spin really hard was when i would be playing games. i have all my drivers updated to the latest and toshiba recommend i use windows 8 but i just dont know what the problem is.

    It's your graphics card kicking into overdrive.
    Win8 uses more graphics abilities.
    My fav is the new windowed mode vsync. I was pretty annoyed browsing websites with a tear in the middle of the screen all the time in Win7.

    you could try to control the fan speed manually.

    Could be dangerous! Graphic chips getting more hot than CPU's and they're easy burned! I wouldn't play with manually control the Fan speed!

    To the OP, if you computer is an Laptop, firstly check the the fan is clean and free from dust! That also applies for Desktops!
    Also use an apps like Everest or others for to display the heat of your system chips and chipset's as well as the Fanspeed!

    ok my laptop is free from dust as it is a fairly new laptop......less than a year old....i cant seem to get rid of this problem so i am just going to format and put back windows 7 on it. by the way does any of u guys experience this problem also? its the most annoying thing ever smh

    Just one year! I let clean my Laptop every 3 month and than there's already a lot dust inside!

    And as I suggested above, use an apps for to control the heat of the chips etc.!

    i solve the issue, it was some updates the windows sent me and i downloaded them, these consist of graphic and network drivers.
