fatal error, failed to read value from serial EEPROM at address

    Im booting my Dell Studio 1555 with a bootdisk with 'SVCTAG: version 3.3' on it, if i run 'EE-VALUE /D' to display the content of 'serial EEPROM' i get "fatal error, failed to read value from serial EEPROM at address 00", can somebody tell me what im doing wrong, thanks
