    Hello,
I'm looking for a File Backup software for some specific folders to an external hard drive.

I tried the Backup and Restore functionality built-in Windows 7
... but that was an utter deception !
Because after reformatting, it wouldn't locate my backup, and would move every file to backup to the external hard drive all over again in order to create a new backup, instead of reusing the old one and just update the changes. :death:

    I tried BackUp Maker,
I created a backup of 300gb in my external HDD,
And I tried to delete a single file in the original folder, and then relauch the backup
...And WTF!!! it recreated another backup and began to copy all the files !!!

[TLDR] I just need ONE backup on my exteral HDD, I would prefer it to be compressed to have more space.
And when in the future, I am launching the backup, I certainly don't want it to copy ALL my files again,
I want it to act exactly like Dropbox: copy the new files, delete the files I deleted since the last backup.
And don't screw-up everything if I reinstall Windows.
Don't care about schedules, drive or system backup.

    Thanks for your attention :worthy:

If you don't mind about compression and want a mirror back up for example, Syncovery or Goodsync are good tools.
