I have several RPF files for modding GTA V, but they appear as folders that I can open instead of files! How can I change that? I don't think this is a GTA V or OpenIV problem, but a Windows 10 problem...

How can I fix that? RPF is not even listed as an extension in Windows 10 Default App Settings...

You can install software like Adobe After effects to open them because they are in 3D-file format.

I have something else that can open them, I think - OpenIV, BUT there is way to select "Open As..." to make it happen!

You CANNOT do that to FOLDERS. When you right-click on a folder, there is no "Open With..." option available.

I've been researching this issue for hours now and nit seems nobody, except for me, experience this problem. I ran DISM Health Restore and SFC Scannow, as well as, Chkds - all scans were perfectly fine. I don't have any OS issues.

I feel your pain. On my system starting about a week ago, for some strange reason, I keep getting asked which program I want to open the file with. I can choose continue using ... or always use ... but after a reboot I get asked the same questions again. File associations are intact; file icons are intact. No third party file managers. Time for a format and clean install. I'll try 10565 this time; kind of a trial run before the TH2 expected next month.

    Lol...It's amazing this wasn't expected!?

Millions of Windows 10 users are all "M$ insiders", Microsoft's perpetual guinea pigs, being force fed all the tweaks, changes, additions, fixits, and experiments at Microsoft's every whim...;)
Persistent periods of instability, errors, non-functioning or conflicts with apps, drivers and hardware. Duration..............unknown?!:sneaky:

This is their Windows 10 free lunch, brought to you by M$...a system forever in beta development, forever being morphed into THEIR 'ideas and vision' of what you should have.
A system constantly being patched and tweaked in attempts to correct functionality....:31:
NEVER to be a finished and stable product....

All of which translates into a never ending roller coaster ride of surprises, problems and frustration for consumers......F-O-R-E-V-E-Rrrrr

    Enjoy!:g:

Try to reinstall the OpenIV and see if that helps.
