Files On DVD Vanished

    Possibly bad burn next time try verifying and but at slow speed.

    You can use PowerISO or UltraISO or MagicISO to read the files from your corrupted DVD.

    did windows or the burning program you used finalize the disc . windows burning software will usually (finalize) make readable by other PCs .
    I burned a disc once and then switched of the pc ,next day when I went to view the DVD there were no files visable but not much space was left . I finalized it and it ejected and reloaded after that it was OK.

    Try running nero again with your dvd in the drive then select burn, option should be there to finalize the dvd if it has not been finalized.

    Yeah, makes you wonder he also has other thread open Hard Disk Partition hope he copied his apps to another partition and hasn't lost everything.

    I mentioned other thread because if you had solved your problem with partitions you should close the thread, any way if the files you copied to dvd were from the faulty hard drive that could account for the problem with your dvd.
