I have a Windows 98 SE virtual machine set up in VirtualBox, with the latest Unofficial Service Pack and KernelEx installed. What I need to achieve is a folder that's shared between this virtual machine and the Windows 10 host. Unfortunately, the usual method - host-only network adapter and workgroup-shared folders - doesn't seem to work. Both host and guest can ping each other just fine, but they do not show up in each other's explorer. Any solutions?
That worked, to a degree - I can now access the folders shared on the guest from the host, but not the other way around. Although this would work in a pinch it would be nice to see it working both ways. Any hope?
Suppose I might as well not bother further on, then - the host can access the share on the guest just fine after enabling SMBv1. Thanks, both of you. Haven't been on this forum for a while - we don't have a "thank you" or "mark this post as the solution" system in place (other than the "like"), do we?
iit is part of the new xenForo (Forum Software) like = thanks = AIO nonsense xenForo has nothing else
