    :DHappy that you're doing a new build. However I have some doubts about:

    a) The board, Gigabyte has been a bit iffy these days and buying the budget end doesn't seem to help much.
    b) Unless you're rendering video then I think you wasted money on the processor and;
    c) The power supply, Thermaltake really, they had a whole lot of failure issues a while back. I don't trust them at all, better off with Antec or Corsair.

    gold rated psu for 64$ i cant complain 7 yr war on it.. yeah i had a thermal take die on me in 2007
    lasted me 2 yrs but it was a crappier one

    cpu is for 6 to 8 yrs.. didnt want a celeron :p

    my current G31m-ES2L hasnt failed me.. they might have gotten crappier in past 6 yrs i agree.. but i dont want Asus MSR locked and hackintosh is more trouble to install on asus than gigabyte.

    but thanks for the input.. i did have questions if i should have bought plain Z97-DH3 and not Z97x.. intel lan works ok on hackintosh but realtek is okish too

    To me the only reason to get a board over $150 is if you intend to run multiple video cards. Most of the features they have won't ever be used by people looking for a basic single video card build.

    Also your processor might last a lot longer than 6 years if the die shrink goes up poop creek, which I'm betting it will. :D

    @LatinMcG

    Use Osmosis or Clover EFI - you don't need hybrid partitioning. Plain & simple GPT will work without any hitch.

    yeah i wanted to use win 10 loader on efi but i need win 7 for work i believe.

    clover might be way around but i dont trust it for daily use needing to boot in 4 mins to clock in to work doesnt give me much time to play with it ..

    All went well!
    efi 7 and 10 installed.
    had to flip radiator intake hoses on H60 to bottom for better flow. :clap:
