Somehow I knew I will be asked that In my case, I would say its about system stability. Netbook isn't mine, so I can't tell how it used to 'behave' in the past, but it seems to me that frequent lockups during POST, especially whilst trying to boot from a non-sysOS device, isn't normal. So maybe, there is something to it and I d like to rule out something that might have already been fixed in a later revision. It would be helpful having release notes along with the latest revision(s) - but hey - let's find the rom first. Back to my initial question then
Well, no luck so far. I also looked for the Yones - it's the same model, but no support on their side either. My last hope on getting an updated BIOS was Phoenix themselves - but it seems they ve turned - they offer 'support' via the bloody BIOSAgentPlus app which requires subscription. Unbelievable what people do for some extra $$$ these days
I have already registered (in order to get all other drivers), but didn't bother asking them about the BIOS. Since it's not in the list of downloads, I am certain of what their reply will be.
