fingerprint reader not working

    i have installed windows 7 ultimate (32 bit)
    even the drivers are also working properly but i didnt find any fingerprint manager software compatible with windows 7 ultimate
    i have hp pavilion dv2601tu and the software earlier used for fingerprint reader was verisoft.
    model no. of fingerprint reader is AUTHENTEC INC. AES2501A
    plz suggest me some think to make it work.

    Is your fingerprint reader model AuthenTec AES1610 ?

    I think you had the option to upgrade to Windows 7. So if you manage the find the recovery disk (2 disc), it would work for you.

    fingerprint reader

    the fingerprint model i have is authen tec inc. aes2501a
    i have installed a fresh copy of windows 7 from a dvd and the driver which i m having is not compatible with it. so cant anything be done to make it work with windows 7

    Leave Windows update to find the driver. I have the same 2501a, but on Fujitsu-Siemens Lifebook, without a driver is working like a charm and look more integrated in the OS compared to Vista.

    install latest authentic drivers

    software isnt included just drivers


    now go to controll panel and show all items

    Click Biometric Devices

    there ya go

    I also have the Authentec 2501A on windows 7 .

    I can scan my finger prints in the Truesuite starter but then when i log off to try it . its not on my account it seems to b making a seperate one . and when i try n use that one it says im not enrolled. ? any questions or tips . ?
