Delete it and make a new one.

Or delete it and drag the firefox.exe onto the taskbar.

Make sure that the icon in the Properties of the shortcut point to the Firefox program ("C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe").

Right-click the firefox shortcut, open properties and go to the "Shortcut" tab, click in "change icon" and restore the original icon.

Had this happen to me. Unpin the FF icon from the taskbar and the re-pin it. Worked for me. :)
