I need just one way to make youtube float videos on top like Opera does without third part software like Deskpin. BTW, to float video window i'm using Enhancer for Youtube. It does on top just when scrolling, but not using the float option.
You want an addon to work when FF updates, even if it needs an update, im fine with that. Havnt got the werewithal to put up with things that work 1 minute and not the next, then work the next, then not,,,,,,,,
Turn on pc, wait for windows to update itself. Wait for programs to update themselves. Wait for browser to update itself then wait for addons to update. All i wanna do is look at cat videos for crying out loud.
Why do you need h264ify add-on? I think that this add-on isn't needed installing, it seems that the YouTube always stream H.264 videos instead of VP8/VP9 videos.
You technically do not need any add-ons to use Firefox Quantum and my list is only a suggestion which I believe will be helpful for most folks on average (you're free to pick, choose, or ignore whatever you like). I try to cherry pick add-ons that generally are beneficial to the most people, with the easiest support, while using the fewest resources as possible. But back to your question: By default, YouTube streams VP8/VP9 encoded video. However, this can cause problems with less powerful machines because VP8/VP9 is not typically hardware accelerated (it can also impact battery life on Laptops/Notebooks) In contrast, H.264 is common hardware accelerated by GPUs, which usually means smoother video playback and reduced CPU usage. h264ify makes YouTube stream H.264 videos instead of VP8/VP9 videos.
Video DownloadHelper doesnt download everything from youtube, sometimes it complains it needs a converter. Internet Download Manager doesnt moan and gets on with it and works with many "coughcough" websites.
