Firewall rules for tiles

    I have my default Windows firewall option set to block all outgoing connections. What are the applications that I need to allow in order for the tiles on the start menu like weather, news, etc to work?

    When creating a new firewall rule, see the "Programs and Services" tab and "Application Packages" menu

    You've asked the question the wrong way round.
    You've blocked everything, right?
    So everything that complains it can't get access is either malware, which you must uninstall
    or something you have asked to run to get something, which you want to accept

    There is no shortcut to sort this out
    you've got to do it one at a time.
