I hope that will be a lucky day -- 13 updates on Oct 13th Well at least will bve official ones. Good luck for us all!!!
lol i doubt anything will happen if at all. I mean activation wise. Don't sweat it. Where there lye's will and determination. There forever will be a cracking nation. so to speak....lol.
Oct 13th is the next official patch tuesday, so it is not a surprise that they are releasing updates for 7 then, otherwise they would have to wait until Nov 10th. Hopefully this will fix the SMB2 hole as well. Oct 22nd is getting closer dunt dunt dun.
Considering M$ does not like the number 13 tells me otherwise .... Like Office going from 12 to 14 skipping 13.
There should be more than 13 updates for Windows 7, because it was never patched since its RTM state in june. So at the moment it is more vulnerable than Vista, that was patched every month. Well, let's wait and see. It will be an interesting day for those, who didn't install the unofficial updates, like me.
I look at Windows 7 as Vista SP3. I am pretty sure it's just as secure as Vista Sp2. Most of the "unoffical" updates pertains to speeding up Win 7. But we'll see how many hit between the 13th and the 22nd.
Sure, but don't forget that all security issues, that were discovered between RTM release and today, were fixed in Vista, but not in Seven. And I always thought that it is a very stupid idea to install those unofficial updates.
Most of those "unoffical" updates will be on Win 7 WU. Nobody knows for sure how many of them will actually make it to WU. I was going to install them but i was curious to see how many of those updates M$ decided to make available to WU.
MS like there numerolgy, like alot of companies. While we are told it is bull, so they can play there sales games on us.
